Feb 15, 2006 Flowering Spurge
N. Walker

Flowering spurge is poisonous. It is seldom consumed by livestock and is considered a serious weed. It was formerly used by Indians and even doctors for medicinal purposes. This practice was discontinued because the plant was too potent. Even the milky sap can cause skin irritation. The leaves tend to fall prior to flowering, giving the plant an unattractive appearance.
