DESCRIPTION

Hawkweed is a member of the Hieracium genus. Plants in this genus, especially Rattlesnake Hawkweed have been used extensively for medicinal purposes. Some species are troublesome weeds. The local species does not have the veined leaves of rattlesnake hawkweed and also does not appear to be the invasive type. Some of the photos appear to be a related species Cynthia, (Rigia biflora).
