HUNTSVILLE BOTANICAL GARDEN, April 2, 2005

A windy cool day at the Garden. A challenge for wildflower photography. Many of the common spring wildflowers are blooming, as well as redbud and red buckeye. The "100 year old" dogwood is just a couple days from full bloom. The rain of the previous night had activated the new cascade on the stream along the nature trail (constructed by Vernon Bush). Although this page is primarily about native plants, the numerous tulip beds throughout the grounds are too attractive to leave out. The photos are inadvertantly dated April 3 rather than April 2.
