Veterans Museum --Veterans Memorial Museum - Huntsville Alabama
8.5 x 11, 124 pages, color
The Veterans Memorial Museum at Huntsville Alabama has a large collection of military equipment that was used in American wars occurring during the lifetimes of our older citizens. Those people will remember and recognize the historical periods associated with the exhibits. Younger people with shorter memories may not understand why our country found it necessary to fight wars and build this dazzling array of military equipment.
It is the younger set that will be dealing with the formidable challenges ahead. A better understanding of the dangers the nation encountered in the past 70 years would help in forming realistic attitudes regarding current and future challenges to our national security .
A brief history of our conflicts since the World War 2 buildup is provided at the back of the book .

American Wars Summary ---American Wars Sumamry, 1941 to 2007
9 x 7, 39 pages, color. This is a stand alone version of the war history section included in the Veterans Museum book listed above.
The book provides a brief history of American Conflicts from the prelude to World War 2 to 2007. It is intended that a review of these historic conflicts would aid in understanding the current WOT and also to encourage realistic attitudes regarding the fomidable challenges ahead. This short account reviews pre war circumstances, reasons for military engagement, near term results and long term aftermath. Many of our younger population as well as others with short memories do not fully understand that the world can be a dangerous place. Powerful regimes develop from time to time that threaten our country and our way of life. Out democratically elected leaders have the responsibility to evaluate national security threats and when warranted, to take effective action in response to these threats. At times, military force was deemed to be appropreate. It may have been the only option available or it may have been to forstall a greater consequence in the future. The U.S. maintains a robust force capability to both prevail when military action is required but also to deter potential enemies from starting a war in the first place. For the second purpose to be effective, potenial enemies need to understand that we have the will to use our force and occasionally to demonstrate that will. There needs to be certain consequence for those who would seek to harm our country and interests and who defy diplomative inititives. That is the surest way to have at least relative peace. Sometimes our military has been used strictly for humanitarian purposes. That is a different subject.

National Issues, 2007 ---Conservative View
9 x 7, 114 pages, color. This book contains criticism of our national broadcast and print media in the way political news is reported. It also suggests that the academia class in our major universities attempts to indoctrinate our future leaders with an ideaology that departs from our historic national character and outlook. The third concern is the growth of special interest groups that are very heavily funded by sources that may not have the continuance of American success as their objective. Candidates benefiting from these funding sources may be pushed in directions alien to historic positions of either of our major political. parties. These viewpoints are controversial and are not likely to be held by a substantial portion of our citizens. Attempts were made to cite examples of mis-information being served to the public.
