Capt. James Bone was a Union soldier who returned to Huntsville as a planter and realtor. He also served as US Claims Commissioner and Clerk of Circuit Court. .It can be attested that Capt. Bone was not the last person to have visited Huntsville on business and later returned to be a permanent resident.
